Really suits you! That black and polka dot was chefs kiss. And a much more elegant vibe than Doen (who has time to frolic next to a castle on a cloudy day to make the outfit work). Maybe we’ve been too TR/toteme- pilled to remember feminine dressing can be nice too.

I love the last outfit and think it looks lived in and comfortable, not “too much” at all, despite the textures and colors. I think the modern shoe with straight lines and solid color reframes the more earthy and traditional elements of the other pieces.

Thank you! 🩷 Even though it felt more “boho” than I ever go, I found a way to put my minimal spin on it.

If you are going to cheat, you may as well do it with Chloé!

I always have had a soft spot for the brand as I quite like a bohemian feel but especially love it under Chemena's direction..it just feels approachable and light! I love your ruffle interpretation..such a great visual example of taking the elements of what you are drawn to in an inspiration but making it your own. Your version has the same "floaty" feel but reinterpreted in a modern way that speaks to your style.

(ps - thank you for the mention!)

Thank you Angie! Means so much coming from you. And such a fun experiment in taking what Chemena is doing and applying to my own wardrobe. Thanks for reading!

Ooooh, your suede depop skirt is killer. SUCH a good find. The button tab detail, the shape, all of it. So good.

I’m also drawn to Chloe and have been wanting to pair a flouncy shirt/ blouse with my tailored jackets. Thanks for putting this into words and images.

Thanks Jennie! I know there are so many great ideas to borrow from the brand that don’t equate to overhauling your style or wardrobe, which I loved!

I know that everyone is loving Chloe lately and since it’s not my aesthetic I appreciate this breakdown and the two components I most enjoyed (and will bring to my closet) are;

1. Masculine meets feminine. I put on an outfit today that I LOVE LOVE buuuutttt it could benefit from some feminine touches as it’s a bit one-note in its androgyny.

2. Texture clashing!! I think fall leaves us ample room to wear texture and I want to challenge myself to wear different (competing?) textures!

Thank you for opening my mind to this 😘

I loved reading this and seeing your interpretations of the Chloe looks. You look great in all of your outfits!

I think I’ve sort of been going the other way and trying to simplify my looks because I feel like I had too much going on, but now you’re making me want to pull out my Doen blouses that I never wear and style them up.

Thank you! I hear you and for so long I’ve been very minimal in my styling which is why this feels fun. You should bust out those Doen tops!! Always good to strike some balance. 🩷
